// problem

The chapter ran membership, events, and its member portal through a third-party membership platform, but the public website around it was dated and awkward for volunteers to update. Committee information, leadership history, and event listings all needed to stay current, and every change had to route through whoever happened to have access. The chapter needed a site its volunteer board could maintain directly, without losing the membership system its members already had accounts in.

// solution

A WordPress and Elementor build the volunteer board can edit without touching code. Leadership and committees run on custom post types, so a committee page pulls its chair, meeting dates, and description from structured fields instead of being hand-edited each time. The past presidents timeline can be reordered and extended in place. The existing membership platform stays exactly where it is: events display on the site automatically from it, and the member portal still authenticates against it. The homepage carries an impact metrics block the board updates as the numbers change.

// results

Launched in June 2025. Every existing member account carried across with credentials intact, so no member had to re-register or reset a password to keep access to member-only sections.
