A Houston children's arts nonprofit whose 60-year story and donations now live on a site its own team edits - rebuilt off Wix, pro bono, every archive photo saved.

IMAGINE... The Impossible gives under-served Houston children free classical-ballet training, but its Wix site buried a remarkable 60-year story, made donating awkward, and left twenty years of photos, video, and press trapped inside Wix, at risk if the subscription ever lapsed. With volunteers rotating in and out, no one really owned the content.

The rebuild leads with the story: a cinematic, motion-driven design and a timeline tracing the founder's training under Alvin Ailey, with the Fifth Ward building campaign and donations front and center. The whole site - every page, word, and image - is editable by the organization in Sanity, while its legal name, mission verse, and donation button are locked so they can't be changed by accident. The entire Wix media library, 1,061 files including 60 videos, was migrated and verified with zero loss.

Live at imaginetheimpossible.org since July 2026, fully replacing Wix. The nonprofit now runs its own site, its building campaign is front and center, and twenty years of irreplaceable media sits on infrastructure it owns. Designed, built, and donated pro bono.
